We provide acquisition advice to companies and individuals. This could be as simple as research of purchase opportunities or a full acquisition process where we also act as a buyer’s agent.

The most formal representation is where we are engaged as a buyer’s agent. A buyer’s agent acts on behalf of the buyer, analyses business value, investigates business risks and analyses the accounts, assists with negotiations and prepares a sales and purchase agreement. This is common overseas (especially the US) and is simply the reverse of the normal New Zealand arrangement of being a seller’s agent.
